Description

Antique English pine desk dating to the 19th century, constructed with a three-plank top, traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery with visible pegged construction, and a single center drawer finished with a chunky dark wood knob. The pine has developed a warm, beautifully oxidized surface with pronounced grain, old marks, wear, and evidence of age throughout. The simple stretcher base and honest construction are characteristic of early English country furniture. Pieces like this with their original character and untouched-looking surfaces are becoming increasingly difficult to source.
